My team and I organized a *300-person virtual conference with 35 speakers in 5 days!

My business partners at GSD and Be.Great podcast and I organized the first StayXStayHome conference. The conference was in direct response to the cancellation of SXSW, ahead of a series of a more stringent national response from the United States to the COVID-19 pandemic. With the tagline of “Innovation from Home”, we mobilized 35 amazing speakers and almost 300 participants in 5 days!

I led discussion about my two favorite topics: the future of education and doing business in Africa. I started my career as a math teacher so my passion for education is deeply ingrained and is actually the foundation/reason for my work in data. As this website also exemplifies, I am deeply passionate about the Africa so I take every opportunity to continue to share with others in this area, as I did with my doing business in Africa session at the summit.

In response to the overwhelming positive response to our quick thinking and initiative during this time of great uncertainly, we have just launched a series of virtual pop-events called The StayXStayHome Link & Learn. We hope you will join us for those interactive sessions.
